Lithium-Niobate Integrated Optical Circuits

EMCORE has recently established a production-grade process capability to develop and produce lithium-niobate IOCs using the proton-exchange (PE) process on 4-inch wafers. The polarizing properties of the PE waveguides are ideal for extremely demanding applications in coherent signal communications and fiber optic-gyroscope applications. In-house mask design, wafer fabrication, fiber packaging, test and qualification capabilities are available for developing cost-effective, high-performance solutions for the most demanding systems applications in harsh environments typical of military and space applications.
